Dear community,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 20th Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Conference (TBIS 2027), it is my great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to scientists, researchers, industry professionals and friends from around the world. We are delighted to host this milestone edition on 27—30 July 2027 in Hainan, China. Jointly organized by Textile Bioengineering and Informatics Society (TBIS), the University of Manchester and MDPI Conference and hosted by the Hainan International College of Beijing Sport University, TBIS 2027 brings together the participating institutions’ expertise and networks to foster interdisciplinary exchange, encourage international collaboration and advance research in textile bioengineering and informatics.
The theme of TBIS 2027 is “AI and Textile Innovations for Sustainability, Wellbeing and Sports.” It highlights the potential of artificial intelligence and textile innovation to address global challenges, enhance human wellbeing and advance sports science and technology. Through interdisciplinary dialog, the conference aims to foster innovative ideas and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Since its establishment, TBIS has provided an international platform for researchers and professionals to share advances in materials science, biology, textile science and engineering, computer science and informatics, design and life sciences. As TBIS celebrates its 20th edition, we look forward to building on this academic legacy and creating new opportunities for knowledge exchange and scientific collaboration.
