Dr. Lanouar Charfeddine is a Professor of Economics at Qatar University and Acting Section Head of the Research and Policy Unit at its Center for Entrepreneurship and Organizational Excellence. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University. His research focuses on applied econometrics, financial modelling and forecasting, energy economics, and international finance. He has published over 55 peer-reviewed articles, led major funded research projects, and held teaching positions across France, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia.

Giovanni De Feo is Associate Professor of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering at the University of Salerno, Italy. His teaching and research activities focus on waste management, circular economy, sustainability assessment, life cycle approaches, environmental communication and education. He is the author of more than 200 scientific publications and has extensive experience in international research, academic publishing and sustainability-related initiatives. In 2006, he created Greenopoli, an environmental education project based on storytelling, gamification, music and active engagement, which over the past twenty years has involved more than 120,000 students, teachers and citizens. His work aims to connect scientific knowledge with effective and accessible communication, promoting informed and responsible environmental behaviours

Prof. Lu joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an assistant professor in 2006 after working for Parsons Brinckerhoff (Asia) Ltd for 2 years, and was promoted to Professor in July 2018. As a highly cited researcher by Clarivate Analytics in Engineering and a World’s Top 2% Scientist by Stanford University in Energy, Prof. Lu is a well established researcher in renewable energy and building energy engineering. Prof. Lu has published 6 books/handbook chapters and over 350 SCI-cited journal papers (including Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, etc.), and her work has been financially supported by the Research Grant Council (RGC) of Hong Kong (GRF, NFSC/RGC JRS, CRF(Co-PI), HKPDF), Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission (ITF), Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department (ECF), Hong Kong Policy Innovation and Coordination Office (PPR), Hong Kong Construction Industry Institute (CII), Dept of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Society of Hong Kong Scholars and the China National Postdoctoral Council (Hong Kong Scholars), Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) and various industry partners including Sinopec. Prof. Lu has received several prestigious awards, primarily as the first awardee, and is the founder of two spin-out startups. Currently, she is serving local government as The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Cleaner Production Partnership Programme, Task Force Member for Energy Management System Certification under Hong Kong Accreditation Service (HKAS) and as Working Group Member for Building Energy Codes (Electrical; Energy Audit; Lighting) under Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance.

Davide La Torre, PhD, HDR, is a Full Professor of Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence and Director of the Analytics Research Centre at SKEMA Business School, Université Côte d’Azur in Sophia Antipolis, France. In addition, he holds part-time, adjunct, and visiting positions at several international institutions, including the University of Bologna and the European Institute of Oncology, among others. He earned two doctoral degrees: a PhD in Computer Science from Université Côte d’Azur (France) and a PhD in Computational Mathematics and Operations Research from the University of Milan (Italy). He also obtained the HDR (Habilitation to Direct Research) in Applied Mathematics from Université Côte d’Azur and completed professional certification programs in Analytics at MIT (USA). Furthermore, he holds the French and Italian national qualifications for Full Professor in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics. His academic and research activities focus on applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, image analysis, mathematical economics, mathematical finance, mathematical medicine, environmental sustainability, optimization, and control theory. Over the course of his career, he has held permanent and visiting academic appointments across Europe, Canada, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Australia. He has also served in several academic leadership roles, including Associate Dean, Department Chair, and Program Head. Professor La Torre has authored more than 280 Scopus-indexed publications and has a Google Scholar h-index of 35.

Mark A. Bonn, Ph.D., is known internationally as one of the most renowned hospitality and tourism researchers, having published well over 125 scientific, scholarly academic journal articles. For over three decades, Dr. Bonn was a faculty member at Florida State University's Dedman School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, where he held the title of the Robert H. Dedman Professor of Services Management. Dr. Bonn established and directed Florida State University’s International Center for Hospitality Research & Development. As director, he produced over 500 technical reports and generated nearly $2.5 million in funded contracts and grants. Dr. Bonn developed the Dedman School’s highly successful on-line program in Beverage Management and also founded the Resort & Vacation Rental Management program. Dr. Bonn is currently serving a Section Editor-in-Chief for the academic journal, Sustainability: Tourism, Culture and Heritage. He also has served as an associate editor for the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly, and as a member of numerous editorial boards for leading hospitality and tourism journals. Dr. Bonn earned his doctorate at Texas A&M University, majoring in resource development with supporting areas of study in organizational behavior, attitude theory and measurement and demographics. His research focuses on hospitality and tourism sustainability, visitor perceptions, satisfaction, revisit intentions, resource quality, supply chain management, strategic market segmentation, and consumer behavior. In 2008, Dr. Bonn was inducted into the Florida Tourism Hall of Fame by the Florida Commission on Tourism. He is the only academic researcher to have ever received this honor.
