The conference "Viruses 2022 – At the Leading Edge of Virology Research" will accept abstracts only. The accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to contribute with a full manuscript to the special issue "Viruses 2022 – At the Leading Edge of Virology Research" in the journal Viruses.

Please note that submission and registration are two different processes. Please use your institutional email address for both processes.

To present your research at the event

  1. Create an account on Sciforum if you do not have one, then click on ‘New Submission’ on the upper-right corner of the window, or by clicking on ‘Submit Abstract’ at the top of this webpage.
  2. Indicate what thematic area is best suited for your research.
  3. Submit an abstract in English - the word limits are: minimum 150 words and maximum 300 words.
  4. The deadline to submit your abstract is 3 February 2022. You will be notified by 18 February 2022 about the acceptance for poster presentation.
  5. Upon submission, you can select if you wish to also be considered for oral presentation. Following assessment by the Chairs, you will be notified by 18 February 2022 in a separate email whether your contribution has been accepted for oral presentation.

Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, at least one registration by any of the authors, denoted as Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted abstract. Covering Author registration deadline is 11th March 2022. Your abstract will be withdrawn if your registration is not complete by this date.

Authors with multiple contributions: please note that one author registration will cover only ONE accepted contribution. Authors presenting more than 1 contribution during the event will be charged 25 Euro per additional abstract (e.g., 1 author with 2 abstracts: registration fee + 25 Euro; 2 authors with 3 abstracts: 2 registration fees + 25 Euro; etc.).

Oral Presentations

Short talks will be 15 min long including questions (12+3 Q&A). The typical presentation should be up to 10–12-minute talk.

Poster Information

General information on the posters and poster sessions can be found by clicking here. Please send us your poster before 31 March 2022 and name it "PSI or PSII_Surname_sciforum-XXXXXX".

The list of names, sciforum-ID, titles of the posters, as well as the session in which the posters will be presented, can be found here. Please contact us if the poster presenter's name is incorrect in the list.
