We are delighted to welcome you to the 1st International Online Conference on Clinical Reports (IOCCR 2025), which will be held online and promoted by the open access MDPI journal Reports (ISSN: 2571-841X; IF: 0.8).
This conference offers a platform for doctors, experts, and medical-related practitioners in the field of medical cases, images, and videos in human medicine to engage in an exchange of ideas and share cutting-edge research findings. The conference will encompass diverse facets of clinical medicine, including, but not limited to, the following:
1. Disaster/Climate Change Medicine;
2. Cancer;
3. Cardiovascular Diseases;
4. Oral Diseases;
5. Orthopedic Surgery.
We are excited to have this opportunity to explore the latest developments and future trends in clinical medicine alongside related practitioners from around the world. I began my research career with the immunological analysis of Adult T-cell leukemia, which was reported in Japan (1977). After that, I continued researching infectious diseases such as AIDS and tuberculosis. At Tohoku University, I experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake (2011) and also began researching disaster medicine. I have been the editor-in-chief of Reports since 2018.

Dr. Luca Bertolaccini is the Deputy Director of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at the European Institute of Oncology IRCCS in Milan. With extensive expertise in thoracic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, and multidisciplinary lung cancer management, Dr. Bertolaccini has authored numerous publications and actively participates in international conferences and research collaborations. He is particularly interested in integrating cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

After postdoctoral fellowship at University of Rochester, Rochester, USA, I had been involved in clinical practice and research of degenerative and inflammatory joint diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis at Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Kyoto University Hospital, Kyoto, Japan. In 2021, I moved to Kurashiki Central Hospital, Kurashiki, Japan, one of the largest private hospitals in Japan, and leads the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, as the department head.

Prof. Dr. Filippo Migliorini

Filippo Migliorini is Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, Health, and Health Professions of the Link Campus University of Rome. Prof Migliorini graduated with honours (Cum Laude) in Medicine and Surgery from the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome, presenting a research thesis titled "Study of Joint Biomechanics and Aetiopathogenetic Factors Using Finite Element Analysis", conducted at the Center for Advanced Biomechanics, Beth Israel Deaconess Center, Harvard Medical Teaching School, Boston, USA. Subsequently, he commenced specialist training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Department of Orthopedic, Traumatology, and Reconstructive Surgery at the University Hospital of Aachen, Germany. He earned a PhD in Biomechanics from the Faculty of Medicine at RWTH University Aachen, Germany. In May 2022, he was awarded the Venia Legendi, a prestigious academic qualification in the German university system, in Orthopedics and Traumatology at RWTH University Aachen, Germany. Since 2022, he has led the Department of Clinical Orthopedic Research at Eifelklinik St. Brigida in Simmerath, Germany, conducting randomised clinical trials on robotic surgery. Since July 2023, he has been practising as a specialist in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Regional Hospital of Bolzano, Italy.

Lung Cancer Resection in the Era of Minimally Invasive Surgery: Is Sublobar Resection Always Safe?
Dr. Casiraghi is Deputy Director of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at European Institute of Oncology in Milan and Assistant Professor of the Department of Oncology and Hemato-oncology at the University of Milan, Italy. Since 2008, she worked at European Institute of Oncology in Milan where she became expert in thoracic oncology and minimally invasive techniques such as robotic surgery. She is the PI and co-PI in different projects and working group both for lung cancer, mesothelioma and thymoma treatments, and she is recently focusing her research on microbiome characterization both for the early detection of lung cancer and for more advance stage NSCLC treated with immunotherapy. She is the first author and co-author of many papers in peer reviewed international journals. Dr. Casiraghi is editor and reviewer of international journals. She is actually board member of the Thoracic Domain and chair of the Surgical Oncology task force of EACTS, and member of ESTS Robotic working group and Women in General Thoracic Surgery.

Creator of both innovative instruments and surgical techniques for joint reconstruction, in particular, both knee prostheses and new cartilage transplant techniques, currently the knee with particular attention is dedicated to sports pathologies.

Francesco Zaraca, MD, PhD, Privatdozent Deputy director of the Department of Vascular and Thoracic Surgery. Central Hospital of Bolzano. South Tyrol. Italy Dr. Francesco Zaraca completed residency in general surgery in 1998 and obtained PhD in Surgical Pathophysiology in 2001. He completed specialization in vascular surgery in 2006 and in thoracic surgery in 2018. In 2012 he became a Privatdozent at the University of Marburg and in 2019 he obtained the Italian national qualification as Associate Professor in Thoracic Surgery. He has contributed significantly to research in several key fields. Co-founder of the PALAS (Prolonged air leak: a survey) study group. His research has also focused on acute ischemia of the lower limbs, on the role of intraoperative completion angiography. Furthermore, he implemented the role of preoperative 3D reconstruction techniques as a co-founder and principal investigator of the PATCHES (Prospective rAndomized sTudy efficaCy of tHree-dimensional rEconstructions Segmentecomy) study group. Dr. Zaraca specializes in open and minimally invasive surgical techniques in vascular and thoracic surgery, further enhancing his ability to address complex clinical challenges.
