Welcome to The 10th International Electronic Conference on Synthetic Organic Chemistry

Call for Papers

This will be the 10th meeting of ECSOC. All accepted presentations will be posted on this website during the conference. Discussions will be possible by using online commenting and reply functions. The Proceedings will be published later online and as a CD-ROM edition. Posters presented may be considered as preliminary communications of new research results or review papers and may be published in another form later in any standard journal. At the authors discretion, contributions will be removed from the web-site after the end of the conference and not included in the online and CD-ROM proceedings editions. Authors are invited to publish their papers subsequently in Molecules.

Communications should be prepared in MS Word. The publication format will be PDF.

Presentation Slides
Authors are encouraged to preare a couple of slides in PowerPoint or similar software, to be displayed online along with the Communication. Slides can be prepared in exactly the same way as for any traditional conference where research results can be presented. Slides should be converted to PDF format before submission.

Tetramethylammonium Fluorochromate has been found to oxidize alcohols to corresponding aldehydes and ketones. Without polymerization of double bonds, over oxidation and other side reactions. This reagent has been found that effective for oxidation of thiols to disulphides.

Cyclic acetals and ketals play the important role in the synthetic chemistry of carbohydrates and widely utilized in specific protections for simultaneously two or more hydroxyl groups. In particular, alkylidene derivatives of monosaccharides are formed from interaction of these ones or their derivatives with aldehydes or ketones in the presence of acid as catalyst [1-5]. In all of alkylidene derivatives, the ethylidene ones of monosaccharides have received more attention than other particularly for the synthesis partially substituted sugars.

The series of twenty lipophilic 2-aryl-5,7-di-tert-butylbenzoxazoles substituted in the phenyl ring was prepared by the reaction of 2-amino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol with the appropriated aldehydes. The general synthetic approach of all newly synthesized compounds is presented. All the substituted 5,7-di-tert-butylbenzoxazole derivatives were analyzed using the reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method for the lipophilicity measurement. The procedure was performed under isocratic conditions with methanol as an organic modifier in the mobile phase using end-capped non-polar C₁₈ stationary RP column. In the present study the correlation between RP-HPLC retention parameter log K (the logarithm of capacity factor K) and log P data calculated in various ways is shown. The relationships between the lipophilicity and the chemical structure of the studied compounds are discussed as well.

Some substituted acetylpyrazine derivatives were prepared as the starting materials for the subsequent synthesis of N,N-dimethylthiosemicarbazones.
