The 3rd International Symposium on Materials Coating Science and Technology (MCST 2027)

Building on the success of previous editions, the 3rd International Symposium on Materials Coating Science and Technology (MCST 2027) has officially transitioned into a fully-fledged international conference and will be held in Xi'an, China, from October 21 to 24, 2027. This event is hosted by MDPI Coatings (ISSN 2079-6412; IF: 3.4, CiteScore: 6.1) and co-organized by Advanced Ceramics Branch of The Chinese Ceramic Society. 

As advanced materials continue to fuel industrial innovation across diverse fields, the demand for high-performance, long-service-life coatings technologies tailored to complex and extreme service conditions has become increasingly urgent.

MCST 2027 aims to gather global researchers, engineers and industrial experts to share cutting-edge progress in coatings science and engineering, and facilitate in-depth integration and collaboration between fundamental research and industrial applications. The symposium highlights the importance of interdisciplinary innovation and warmly invites contributions across a wide range of topics, including surface engineering, advanced deposition technologies, as well as emerging coatings applications in energy storage, biomedicine, photonics and functional advanced materials.
