The Advanced Ceramics Branch was established in 1980. It is a national academic organization in the field of advanced ceramics under The Chinese Ceramic Society and is recognized as the authoritative academic body in the advanced ceramics sector in China. Currently, it is affiliated with Tsinghua University. The organizational structure of the branch consists of a council, a standing council, a secretary-general and deputy secretaries-general, and a president and vice-presidents. The branch has established six professional committees: Structural Ceramics, Functional Ceramics, Bioceramics, Ceramic Powders, and the Committee for Popular Science Education and Industrialization Promotion. The membership of the branch is composed of professionals from universities, research institutes, the business community, and relevant government departments across the country.
