ICLEI SE Asia ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network working with more than 2,500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. Active in 125+ countries, we influence sustainability policy and drive local action for zero emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient, and circular development. The ICLEI Southeast Asia Secretariat, based in the Philippines, serves over 40 ICLEI Members in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Southeast Asian Minister of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Regional Centre for Quality Improvement for Teacher and Education Personnel (QITEP) in Science The SEAMEO Regional Centre for Quality Improvement of Teachers and Education Personnel in Science (SEAQIS) is a regional centre under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) located in Bandung, Indonesia. SEAQIS supports Southeast Asian countries in strengthening science education through teacher professional development, knowledge exchange, and innovative teaching approaches. The centre is actively promoted Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and initiatives that support climate change and sustainability education. Through regional training programmes, conferences, and collaborative initiatives, SEAQIS serves as a regional hub for science teacher capacity building and educational innovation in Southeast Asia. World Institute of Sustainable Development Planners (WISDP) WISDP is a Learned Society fostering advocating the UN Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with the three components of Environment, Society and Economy. Training is provided for professionals according to their needs and successful trainees are awarded professional membership from WISDP and the UNESCO HK Association, and subject to adequate relevant work experience, trainees are entitled to become Certified Sustainable Development Planners (CSDP). China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy at Huazhong University of Science & Technology (ICARE) The China-EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy at Huazhong University of Science & Technology (ICARE) is a non-profit, non-legal person Sino-foreign cooperative higher education institution established in accordance with the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools. It is an important component of the China-EU higher education collaboration platform under the high-level China-EU people-to-people dialogue mechanism, and represents the first major cooperation project between China and the European Union in the field of engineering education. It has been recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China as a flagship model of China-EU higher education cooperation. Currently, ICARE is jointly supported by 12 key universities from 6 countries. Approved by the Ministry of Education of China in March 2012, ICARE officially commenced its academic activities, focusing on clean and renewable energy. It offers postgraduate “3+0” degree programs, non-degree training, and scientific research. As the only Sino-foreign cooperative institution in China dedicated exclusively to the major of New Energy Science and Engineering, ICARE is committed to cultivating high-quality professionals for the future global energy sector, providing talent support for the development of a sustainable, eco-friendly and efficient energy industry in China. Key Laboratory of Advanced Civil Engineering Materials, Ministry of Education, Tongji University Established in 2005 with approval from the Ministry of Education, the laboratory is supported by five doctoral programs (Materials Science, Materials Physics and Chemistry, Materials Processing Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Engineering Mechanics), three national key disciplines, and two postdoctoral research stations in materials science and civil engineering. The laboratory has 55 full-time staff, including 1 CAS academician, 4 recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, and 2 Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professors; 45 are professors and 51 hold doctoral degrees. There are over 300 graduate students. Its research focuses on high-performance structural materials, advanced functional materials, green materials, and the service behavior and application of civil engineering materials. The laboratory houses 22 large-scale instruments (each over RMB 300,000) within 5,000 m² of space, and has undertaken major national programs (973, 863, National Key R&D, NSFC) as well as key projects from ministries and local governments. International common support organization (ICSO) International common support organization (ICSO) is a global public welfare team composed of Chinese students worldwide. ICSO was founded in May 2017 by three Chinese students studying in the UK. Since its establishment, ICSO has always focused on gathering the strength of Chinese overseas students worldwide to promote the development of global public welfare undertakings. Improving the education of poor students, protecting the environment, and assistant sociality as the core. ICSO has successively registered its subordinate branches in China, Britain, and the United States. The University Climate Ambassador Program (UNICAP) The University Climate Ambassador Program (UNICAP), led by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) , empowers university students as active partners in sustainability education and climate action through a cross-institutional, student-centred model where Climate Ambassadors collaborate with peers across universities, learn from academic and industry experts, and develop real-world projects under mentor guidance. UNICAP is a collaborative initiative involving The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), and Lingnan University (LU), together with a diverse network of industry partners committed to driving climate action, including (in alphabetical order): EMAHK, ESG Podcast@HKU, Hactl, HKIQEP, HKU Master of Science in Environmental Management (ENVM) program, University YMCAs, WWF-Hong Kong, and YMCA (Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong) . Sustainable Finance Institude (SFI) Founded in March 2017 by scholars from Yale, Brown, Columbia, and NYU together with practitioners from leading financial institutions on Wall Street and key European financial and innovation centers, the Sustainable Finance Institute (SFI) is an independent public‑benefit organization dedicated to education, research, advisory, and convenings in sustainable investment, climate tech innovation and urban resilience globally. With regional HQs and liaison offices in New Haven (the home of Yale University), New York, Hong Kong, Oslo, Copenhagen, London, Singapore, Edinburgh, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai—SFI advances best‑practice methodologies and market adoption worldwide.
