Abstract: A series of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine derivatives was synthesized by knoevenagel condensation of 5-aminopyrazoles aroylacetonitriles and triethyl/methylorthoesters and also by Conrad-limpach reaction of 5-aminopyrazole and ß-keto esters.
