Please note that Abstract submission (Submit Abstract) is separated from Registration (Event Registration). Please remember to submit your abstract.

Your place at the conference will not be secured until payment is received (please pay no later than 2 days after registration). We accept online payments only and registration fees are payable in Euros (€).

The following steps describe the registration procedure:

Step 1. If you do not yet have a sciforum account, create a new account in sciforum.net using this link.

Step 2. Find the 8th Annual Nordic Autophagy Society Conference in the list of events. Register for the conference using the "Event registration" button. Select the registration type and click “Submit”. Thereafter, click “Register” on the Order Summary page.

If you do not know the invoice address and VAT information you can just write your affiliation in the final order summary form

Step 3. Within a few minutes after submitting your online registration, you will receive a confirmation email with an invoice (pdf) and instructions for payment.

Step 4. Pay the invoice following the instruction that is provided in the invoice pdf: Payment will be processed through the NAS homepage (nordicautophagy.org/shop)

Note: YOUR REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL YOU HAVE PAID! Payments must be received not later than 2 days after registration. If it does not happen, registration will be automatically cancelled

Step 5. The conference organizers will contact you after the payment is received to confirm your registration.

Step 6. Submit your abstract (invited speakers/poster/short talks/exhibitors) by using the "Submit abstract" button when logged in to Sciforum at https://8anasc.sciforum.net/. We strongly encourage abstract submission. Abstracts will appear in the abstract book, but will not be published. Best short talk and best poster prizes will be awarded.

Note: Do not forget to submit your abstract before August 12th

Please note: The stated prices are all-inclusive and cover full access to the meeting, 2 nights of accommodation at the Conference site, and all meals (lunch and dinner on day 1, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on day 2, and breakfast and lunch on day 3).

We strongly encourage all participants to use the Conference site accomodation. If you do not wish 2 nights of accomodation (i.e., in case you wish no accomodation, or only 1 night accomodation), please contact the event chairs, since these cases need to be handled separately with the Conference site. If you require accommodation for additional nights please contact Sånga-Säby (https://www.sanga-saby.se/) directly.

Cancellation policy

  • Cancellation and refund requests must be received before August 17th.
  • Registration fees will be refunded for the amount paid, minus a EURO 40 administrative fee.
  • No refunds will be given for cancellations received after August 17th.
  • All cancellations must be sent in writing via e-mail to Anu Kauppinen (anu.kauppinen@uef.fi) and the NAS info e-mail (nordic.autophagy.society.info@gmail.com)

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Minimum 100 words. Maximum 500 words

Registration and abstract submission deadline: August 12th

Poster Guidelines

Please prepare your poster in A0 size (84x119 cm) and in portrait format. Please write the title, authors, institution and institution location at the top of the poster frame. At least one author must be present during the poster session to explain the work and answer questions.

There is no option of printing your poster on site.

Poster board sizes are 90x190 cm (portrait).

Venue, Travel and Accommodation

VENUE

Sånga-Säby (https://www.sanga-saby.se/), Sånga-Säbyvägen 187, 179 96 Svartsjö, Sweden.

The hotel and conference center is located around 45 min drive from Stockholm city center, at the idyllic shore of Lake Mälaren. Please see information below on how to get to the conference site from Stockholm Arlanda Airport or from Stockholm Central Train Station. The Conference registration fees are “all-inclusive”, meaning they include a two-night booking of accomodation at the Sånga-Säby hotel including a large breakfast buffet, as well as all other meals, and all conference activities.

TRAVEL

From Arlanda airport
For international arrivals from Arlanda Airport, we recommend taking the Airport shuttle run by "Vy flygbussarna" to Brommaplan (ca. 45 min; departures every 30min outside terminal 4, ticket can be purchased online or directly on the bus using a credit card; Timetable - see departures | Vy flygbussarna).

From Brommaplan either take a cab (30 min, costs ca 75€ for up to four people) or the local bus nr 317 to bus stop Sånga Säby (ca. 50min; departures every 60min, costs 4€ which can be paid directly on board with credit card; timetable: SL: Kollektivtrafik i Stockholms län – res miljövänligt). From the bus stop it is a 3min walk to the conference center.

From Stockholm Central Train Station
Take the metro T17 from T-centralen, the central metro station to Brommaplan (ca. 25min, leaves every 10min, costs ca. 4€, fares can be paid directly with a contactless credit card or through the SL app). See above for the directions from Brommaplan to Sånga Säby.
