Expression of Interest (EoI) to Host an Edition of the International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S) Asia Pacific Series
The I3S Asia Pacific Conference Selection Committee seeks Expressions of Interest (EoI) from universities/institutions/individual scholars to host the next edition of the I3S Asia Pacific Conference Series. The first edition will be held in Singapore.
What is I3S?
The International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S) is a scientific conference series dedicated to bringing together scientists and leaders from different areas to discuss important recent developments in sensor science.
So far, nine International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S) have been held:
The 1st International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2003) in Paris, France
The 2nd International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2004) in Nanjing, China
The 3rd International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2005) in Juelich, Germany
The 4th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2015) in Basel, Switzerland
The 5th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2017) in Barcelona, Spain
The 6th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2018) in Kenting, Taiwan
The 7th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2019) in Napoli, Italy
The 8th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S2021), online
The 9th International Symposium on Sensor Science (I3S20222) in Warsaw, Poland
I3S Asia Pacific Series will be a brand-new departure, focusing on the Asia Pacific region’s universities/institutions/individual scholars. We are committed to providing a platform for more scholars in the Asia Pacific region to exchange ideas. If you are interested in hosting the first edition of I3S-Asia Pacific in Singapore, please fill in the EOI Application Form and send it to us at i3s2023-asia@mdpi.com. Please note that the follow-on editions will not be restrained to the topics discussed in previous editions and, therefore, new and different topics within the sensor field are sought.
Facts
Candidate institutions must have the ability to host and organize at least a three-day conference with 150–200 participants.
Candidate institutions and MDPI must invited Chairs, Session Chairs, Speakers, Committee members.
Candidate chairs must determine scientific content, define topics/sessions and programs, and lead the editorial process.
When necessary, and based on the input provided by the local host, MDPI staff will provide administrative support and help to manage the conference website on Sciforum. MDPI staff will also help to edit the abstracts and prepare the conference book, help to design the logos and banners for the conference website, flyers, posters, roll-ups, lanyards, conference bags, etc. following the style of previous I3S edition.
MDPI will further help by promoting the conference edition on all relevant MDPI journals and any other relevant communication channels.
Expression of Interest Instructions
EoI must be submitted by 15 February 2023. Please direct these EoIs and any inquiries to the Selection Committee.
The length of the application should not exceed two A4 pages and should include:
- Name(s) of the bidder(s), contact details and a short biography;
- Proposed dates for the conference;
- Proposed topics for the conference;
- The proposed location for the conference with a brief paragraph describing the local amenities that would be available to participants, including its proximity to a reasonably well-served airport.
