He is an Associate Editor of various top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and the Journal of Power Electronics. He is a distinguished Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne,
Australia and also an Honorary Professor at the Department of Electrical, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is the Director of Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Research Laboratory (PEARL). He authored and co-authored for more than 400 publications in academic journals and proceedings and five books with more than 30,000 citations. He is frequently invited as honorary keynote lectures at international conferences, congress, meetings, and symposiums. Saad Mekhilef has been listed by the Thomson Reuters (Clarivate Analytics) as one of the Highly Cited (Hi.Ci) engineering researchers in the world, and included in the & quot; Thomson Reuters’ The World’s
Most Influential Scientific Minds: 2018, 2019 and 2020". He is actively involved in industrial consultancy for major corporations in the Power Electronics and Renewable Energy projects. His research interests include Power Conversion Techniques, Control of Power Converters, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Smart Grid, Microwave and Wireless Technologies.”

Mohamed Dahidah (M’02–SM’10) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering
from Multimedia University, Malaysia, in 2008. Dr Dahidah was an Assistant Professor in the
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Nottingham, Malaysia
Campus, till November 2012. He is currently a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) with the School
of Engineering, Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, U.K. Dr Dahidah is the recipient of Frist
prize paper award at IEEE Conference on Sustainable Utilization and Development in Engineering
and Technology, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 2010 and Girling Watson Fellowship Award, the University
of Sydney, Australia, 2009. He has authored or co-authored over 80 refereed journal and conference
papers in the field of power electronics. His current research interests include modular power
converters, battery charger for EVs, solid state transformers and advanced power conversion for
renewable energy integration.
Dr. Dahidah is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for IET Power Electronics and has been a regular reviewer
for both IEEE and IET journals.
