Welcome from the Chairs
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Electronic Conference on Medicine - Exploring Cutting Edge Discoveries in Neurology (IECMD2025), which will take place online from 11th to 13th November 2025.
Conference Overview: This conference will present the latest studies in several fields of Neurology. The aim of this conference is to show the current state, challenges, opportunities, and future trends, and to allow the exchange of ideas and discussion of controversies and new possibilities for building collaboration among participants.
Key Themes: All clinical medicine-related scientists, researchers, and individuals are welcome to attend this event and share their findings pertaining, but not limited, to the following general and related themes:
- Multiple Sclerosis;
- Dementia;
- Stroke;
- Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's Disease;
- Brain Injury;
- Sleep Disorders;
- Chronic Pain;
- The Spinal Cord.
Conference Format: All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee. Following the conference, authors are welcome to submit a proceedings paper, where the publication fee will be waived. Selected contributions will be invited for submission to the journal Medicina (ISSN: 1648-9144; Impact Factor: 2.4), which ranks Q1 (80/325 in the Medicine, General & Internal category), CiteScore in 2023 (3.3), with a 20% discount on the publication fee.

Dr. Alberto Ouro is a biochemist and received his PhD Cum Laude from the University of the Basque Country in 2013, thanks to a competitive scholarship from the Basque Government. Dr. Ouro completed a 3-year post-doctoral stay at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Dr. Buganim, funded by a competitive scholarship from the Basque Government. Dr. Ouro focuses his work on the role of sphingolipids and lysophospholipids as theragnostic tools in several diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, cancer, stroke and migraine. Dr. Ouro works as a R2B researcher in the NeuroAging Group (NEURAL) at IDIS. Dr. Ouro has published more than 60 articles and 4 book chapters. He has contributed to more than 50 conferences. More than 30 research projects. 3 patents in exploitation. Dr. Ouro is a member of scientific societies such as SEBBM, Sphingolipid Club, ESMI and FENS.

Allison B. Reiss, M.D. is an internal medicine physician, educator and molecular biologist who studies the immune and inflammatory mechanisms that promote the development of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment. Her research is directed toward finding effective therapies for these disease states. Dr. Reiss is Head of The Inflammation Laboratory and Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine. She received her M.D. from the State University of New York - Downstate College of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Rutgers. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Reiss is a member of the Medical, Scientific & Memory Screening Advisory Board of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. She is well-published in medical and scientific journals and has chaired symposia at national and international conferences. Dr. Reiss is Section Editor-in-Chief of Neurology for Medicina and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Investigative Medicine and Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Reiss has a strong passion for community outreach and is dedicated to improving healthcare, especially for older populations.
Registration
The registration for IECMD 2025 will be free of charge! The registration includes attendance to all conference sessions.
If you are registering several people under the same registration, please do not use the same email address for each person, but their individual university email addresses. Thank you for your understanding.
Please note that the submission and registration are two separate parts. Only scholars who registered can receive a link to access the conference live streaming. The deadline for registration is 3rd November 2025.
Instructions for Authors
The 2nd International Electronic Conference on Medicine will accept abstracts only. The accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference.
1. Deadline for abstract submission: 14th July 2025
2. Deadline for abstract acceptance notification: 18th August 2025.
You will be notified of the acceptance of an oral/poster presentation in a separate email.
Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering with www.sciforum.net and Submit Abstract. No physical template is necessary.
1. Your abstract should be include an introduction, methods, results and discussion, and conclusions sections. Abstracts should be 200–300 words in length. Please prepare your abstract in Microsoft Word or another word processing software and then cut and paste the text into the submission portal (see below for more details).
2. Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering [Register] with www.sciforum.net . If you are already registered then please Login to Submit Abstract.
3. All accepted abstracts will be published as part of a single dedicated volume of Medical Sciences Forum (ISSN: 2673-9992) after quality check. If you wish to publish a full-length proceedings paper, please refer to the “Publication Opportunities” Section.
4. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear, publication-ready English with accurate grammar and spelling.
5. You may submit multiple abstracts. However, only one abstract will be selected for the oral presentation.
6. The abstracts submitted to this conference must be original and novel, without prior publication in any journals or it will not be accepted to this conference.

2. Please select only one presenter for each submission. If you would like to change the presenter after submission, please email us accordingly.
