S1. The Supramolecular Structure and Properties of Gels;
Supramolecular gels are dynamic soft materials assembled through reversible, non-covalent interactions such as hydrogen bonding, π–π stacking, and metal coordination. These interactions guide the formation of flexible, three-dimensional networks with high structural tunability. As a result, supramolecular gels exhibit remarkable responsiveness to external stimuli—including pH, temperature, and light—positioning them at the forefront of smart material innovation. By precisely modulating their intermolecular forces, key properties such as mechanical strength, porosity, and viscoelasticity can be finely controlled.

Dr. Paula M. T. Ferreira, Center of Chemistry, University of Minho, Gualtar Campus, Braga, Portugal
S3. Gels in Agriculture and Food;
This session will explore the design, synthesis, and application of gel‐based materials tailored for agricultural and food systems. We will highlight advances in biopolymer and colloidal gels that are used as soil conditioners, seed coatings, and controlled‐release matrices for nutrients and agrochemicals. Contributions on edible gels for food structuring, texture modification, and preservation are also welcome. Emphasis will be placed on sustainable gel formulations, their rheological behavior under processing and environmental conditions, and their impact on crop yield and food quality. Both fundamental studies and case studies of real‐world applications will be featured.

S6. Gels in Chemical Processing, Energy, and Environment.
This session serves as a nexus for original, breakthrough, and sustainable research in gel-based systems and responsive soft matter, as well as related valuable insights into emerging technologies and trends in chemical processing, energy, and the environment. Keynote speeches will be given by distinguished researchers on eco-friendly applications of gel-like materials for the production of nanomaterials, coatings, and other functional materials to be used in various contexts, including water as well as soil decontamination and air purification, but also the production of next-generation batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors, in addition to conservation.
