This conference offers a platform for all interested parties to engage in an exchange of ideas and share cutting-edge research findings. The conference will encompass diverse facets of geriatric medicine, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Neurology/Psychiatry in the elderly.
- Surgical Topics.
- Internal Medicine.
- Diabetic Foot/Wound healing.
- Top 10 Abstracts from the past 10 years.
The conference will be held entirely online, allowing people from all around the world to participate without any concerns about travel or related expenses. An online conference offers a platform for quick and direct exchanges of the latest research findings and innovative ideas.

Prof. Dr. Ralf Lobmann, with over 30 years of experience, is a highly accomplished specialist in endocrinology, diabetology, geriatrics, and andrology. Throughout his career, he has achieved various milestones, such as becoming a Full Professor in 2010 and receiving a qualification as a Diabetologist from the German Diabetes Society in 2004. Dr. Lobmann currently heads the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetology, and Geriatrics at the Stuttgart Hospital – Bürgerhospital, showcasing his expertise and leadership in the field. With a background that includes roles as a Senior Physician and Assistant Consultant in renowned medical institutions, Dr. Lobmann brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to his practice. His dedication to patient care and continuous learning have made him a respected figure in the medical community. Dr. Lobmann's focus on research and scientific publications underscores his commitment to advancing treatments in endocrine disorders, diabetes, and geriatric care, ultimately benefiting his patients and the healthcare industry.

Prof. Dr. med. Maria Wittmann is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Hospital Care, at B. Braun Melsungen AG, where she leads Medical Scientific Affairs with a focus on evidence generation and patient safety. She is also Adjunct Professor at the University of Bonn and has contributed to numerous international multicenter trials, serves in several editorial and scientific leadership roles.
Prof. Dr. Daniel Chan
Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of New South Wales, Kensington, Australia
Daniel KY Chan is a senior staff specialist and director of Aged Care and Rehabilitation at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital. He is also a conjoint Professor of Geriatrics at the University of New South Wales and an adjunct Professor at the University of Western Sydney. He has qualifications in clinical practice (FRACP, FHKCP), research (MD) and health service management (MHA, AFCHSE). He has been involved with many molecular biology, epidemiological, Parkinson's disease, stroke, vascular dementia and health service related research. He has over 160 publications in journals, many of these as first author or corresponding author. Many are internationally reputable journals, some highly prestigious. Some of the best journals include New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, the top journals in neurology and geriatrics. Published Chan's Practical Geriatrics 4th edition which has been translated into Chinese and endorsed as China's national teaching materia.
Prof. Dr. Roger Thomas

Dr. Roger Thomas (MD, PhD, CCFP, FCFP, MRCGP; Emeritus Professor of Family Medicine) is a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Calgary. His undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge was in economics, his PhD from Yale in sociology, and his MD in medicine from McMaster University. He was a Teaching Fellow at Yale and taught sociology at U Guelph for four years. He is the author of 180 peer-reviewed articles, 2 book chapters, 8 reports to governments, a systematic review of the yellow fever vaccine for the WHO, and 111 abstracts. His research interests include polypharmacy, vaccine effectiveness, sports injuries, child development, adolescent tobacco prevention, and measuring medical and resident learning. He received a Lifetime Achievement Award for Research in Family Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada in 2013 and an Outstanding Family Physician 2016 Award, from Calgary Zone. He has received 17 teaching awards. He has been a chair of a family medicine department, director of a postgraduate residency programme, and medical director of two hospitals and three nursing homes, and he practiced medicine in the USA, Malaŵi, as well as Newfoundland, Ontario, and Alberta in Canada.
Dr. Jonathan Hewitt
Cardiff University, Cardiff, United Kingdom
I am an Associate Professor of Stroke and Geriatric Medicine at Cardiff University and an Honorary Consultant Stroke, Geriatric and general Physician for the Aneurin Bevan Health Board. I work half time in the NHS and half in academia. I am on the specialist register for General Internal and Geriatric Medicine (GMC 4112958). I have authored over 150 academic papers and books, including a chapter in the upcoming edition of Brocklehurst's textbook of geriatric medicine and gerontology. I present regularly at national and international conferences. I have secured over £5 Million in competitive research funding from all the major UK funders I graduated in Medicine from University College London, followed by basic training across the UK and New Zealand, Following my PhD at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in Diabetes in the Older Person. I completed my specialist training in Cambridge and Glasgow. I have been a Consultant Physician since 2007. My personal and academic interest has culminated in a tertiary referral service for cardiovascular management of the complex stroke patient.

An abstract acceptance email only confirms that your abstract has been accepted. Oral or poster presentation invitations are determined separately by the conference chairs, and you will receive an additional email with the presentation result.
Abstract Requirements
1. Types of Submissions
- Accepted: Original research abstracts; systematic reviews or meta-analyses abstracts (must comply with PRISMA 2020).
- Not accepted: Narrative, scoping, comparative, perspective, opinion, or essay-style reviews.
2. Content Requirements
- Length: 200–300 words.
- Structure: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
- Language: Clear, publication-ready English.
- Originality: Must be original and unpublished; previously published abstracts will not be considered.
3. Authorship
All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the work, participated in drafting or critically revising the abstract, and approved the final version. The submitting (presenting) author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the submission, including its content and authorship order.
Requests for changes to authorship (including the addition, removal, or reordering of authors) after submission must be submitted using a signed Authorship Change Form, with written consent from all affected authors. Such requests are subject to review and approval by the Conference Organizing Team. All authors share collective responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and ethical compliance of the submitted work.
Authors may submit multiple abstracts, but only one abstract per author may be selected for an oral presentation.
Presentation Requirements
1. Each abstract must designate one presenter. To change the presenter, please contact us after you receive the oral/poster presentation invitation.
2. Only live presentations are accepted.
3. Presenters who do not attend the live session will not be eligible for awards or presentation certificates.
Each presentation should:
- Communicate the research question or objective, methodology, key results, and scientific novelty;
- Use a clear and logical structure, typically Introduction-Methods-Results & Discussion structure (IMRaD) or a field-appropriate alternative;
- Emphasize the relevance of the work;
- Support key findings with clear figures or tables where appropriate;
- Conclude with a critical interpretation of the results and their impact.
Posters should be designed to allow independent understanding of the research and clearly present the essential elements of the study.
Each poster should include:
- Title, authors, affiliations, and contact details (clearly displayed at the top);
- Brief introduction outlining the research objective;
- Concise methodology summary;
- Main results, supported by clear, well-labeled figures or tables where appropriate;
- Short conclusion summarizing key findings and their relevance.

- Make the abstract publicly available in connection with the conference.
- Develop the abstract into a full paper for submission to other journals or publications.

Publication Opportunities
1. Geriatrics Journal Publication
Participants in this conference are cordially invited to contribute a full manuscript to the conference's Special Issue (to be updated), published in Geriatrics (ISSN 2308-3417, Impact Factor 2.4), with a 20% discount on the publication fee. All submitted papers will undergo MDPI Geriatrics’s standard peer-review procedure. The abstracts should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper.

Criteria: Evaluation considers scientific rigor (clear, literature-supported research question or hypothesis, appropriate methodology, robust analysis and critical discussion of the results), IMRaD/field-appropriate structure, clarity of presented data (clear, well-labeled figures and tables), presentation skills and audience engagement, demonstrated scientific novelty and impact.
Prize: A prize of CHF 300 and a certificate celebrating your achievement.
2. Best Poster Award
Eligibility: Open to all authors who have presented their work through posters. Failure to present, delegation of the presentation to another person, or use of AI-generated voice or similar substitutes will result in disqualification.
Criteria: Evaluation considers scientific rigor (clear, literature-supported research question or hypothesis, appropriate methodology, robust analysis, and critical discussion of the results), IMRaD/field-appropriate structure enabling independent understanding, clarity of presented data (clear, well-labeled figures and tables), presentation skills (if orally presented), demonstrated scientific novelty and impact.
Prize: A prize of CHF 200 and a certificate celebrating your achievement.
Winner Announcement: The award winners will be evaluated and selected by the scientific committee after the conference. Results will be announced on the website and all winners will be individually contacted via email.

Globally, our population is ageing rapidly. The medical issues such as dementia, depression, frailty, falls are also becoming major health challenges that health practitioners are facing. Our section will highlight some of the issues and solutions for these challenges. All health practitioners are warmly welcome.
