Raimondo Schettini is a Full Professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca, where since 2003 he has been leading the Imaging and Vision Laboratory (www.ivl.disco.unimib.it). From 1990 to 2002, he directed the Color Imaging Lab at the Italian National Research Council (CNR). He has authored more than 400 scientific publications and 12 patents in the fields of signal, image, and video processing, analysis, and classification. Since 2019, he has been listed in the World Ranking of Scientists by Stanford University for his contributions to artificial intelligence and image processing. He is a member of ELLIS (European Laboratory for Learning and Intelligent Systems), and a fellow of the International Association of Pattern Recognition (IAPR), the Asian-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), and the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA). He also serves on the Advisory Board of the AIQT Foundation, an international platform fostering active collaboration between public and private sectors in the fields of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. He has been the scientific leader of several research projects supported by major multinational companies and is currently Chief Technical Officer of the University spin-off Imaging and Vision Solutions. He has chaired numerous international conferences and workshops and is the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Journal of Imaging.

Prof. Dr. Cosimo Distante
Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems - CNR, Leece, Italy
Cosimo Distante received his master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bari and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Salento (Italy). His primary expertise is in Artificial Intelligence, specifically in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Robotics. He places particular emphasis on developing Deep Learning algorithms. He has been a visiting researcher at the Computer Science Department of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA), where he conducted research in robotics, artificial neural networks, and vision. Dr. Distante joined the Faculty of the University of Massachusetts as a Teaching Assistant for the "Artificial Intelligence" course for the Master's in Science program in 1998. In 2001, he joined the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Since 2003, he has served as a Contract Professor teaching Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, and Image Processing within Computer Engineering at the University of Salento, Italy. He founded the CNR spinoff company Taggalo. In 2011, Dr. Distante received the national innovation prize, working capital from PNI-Cube Telecom Italia, for the Taggalo project. He won the ChallengUP contest (Cisco, Intel, and Deutsche Telekom acceleration program) in 2015 with Taggalo. He served as a general chair for ACIVS2016, and for IEEE Advanced Video and Signal-based Surveillance (AVSS) in 2017, 2021, and 2026, as well as ICIAP2022 and as program chair for the International Conference on Image Processing and Vision Engineering (IMPROVE). He participates on the program committees of CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, WACV, AVSS, Visual, IAV, SPIE Multimodal Sensing and AI, Big Knowledge, and ISCV. Currently, he is the Director of Research at CNR and the unit manager of the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems at CNR. He is also an expert member in innovation for the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), and several regional agencies focused on technology and innovation.

Prof. Dr. Luminita Moraru

Dr. Luminita Moraru is currently a Full Professor in the Department of Physics, Chemistry, and Environment at Dunarea de Jos University of Galati, Romania. Her primary areas of expertise include image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and machine learning, deep learning, modelling, and simulation. Additionally, her interest in nonlinear fibre optics and solitons constitutes a secondary area of focus. Dr. Moraru has authored and co-authored over 250 research papers published in refereed journals, national and international conferences, and book chapters. She serves as a member of the Editorial Board of several national and international journals and is an expert evaluator for national and international projects. Furthermore, she is a member of various boards of External Examiners responsible for assessing international PhD theses. Her H-index is 34 in Clarivate.

Registration
The registration for IOCIM 2026 will be free of charge! The registration includes attendance to all conference sessions.
If you are registering several people under the same registration, please do not use the same email address for each person, but their individual university email addresses. Thank you for your understanding.
Please note that the submission and registration are two separate parts. Only scholars who registered can receive a link to access the conference live streaming. The deadline for registration is 2 November 2026.
Instructions for Authors
The 1st International Online Conference on Imaging will accept abstracts only. The accepted abstracts will be available online on Sciforum.net during and after the conference.
1. Deadline for abstract submission: 5 July 2026.
2. Deadline for abstract acceptance notification: 11 August 2026.
You will be notified of the acceptance of an oral/poster presentation in a separate email.
Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering with www.sciforum.net and using the "Submit Abstract" function once logged into the system. No physical template is necessary.
1. The structure abstract should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections of about 200–300 words in length.
2. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear, publication-ready English with accurate grammar and spelling.
3. You may submit multiple abstracts. However, only one abstract will be selected for oral presentation.
4. Abstracts submitted to this conference must be original and novel, without prior publication in any journals, or else it will not be accepted to this conference.
Detailed Requirements:
1. The submitting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract.
2. Please ensure that all co-author information is thoroughly completed when submitting your abstract to prevent any omissions.
3. The requirements for full affiliation include:
(1) Department/School/Faculty/Campus;
(2) University/Company/Institute;
(3) City;
(4) Post/ZIP code or equivalent, where available;
(5) Country.
4. Please select only one presenter for each submission. If you would like to change the presenter after submission, please email us accordingly.

All accepted submissions will be permanently displayed online in the Poster Gallery. Once your submission is accepted, you can upload your poster in the "My submission" section. Simply select the correct conference and submission, then click the upload button.
All accepted authors and registered participants will receive a Certificate of Participation as recognition of their contribution to IOCIM 2026. Certificates of Participation are available in your logged-in area of Sciforum.net, under “My Certificates” after the conference.
It is the authors' responsibility to identify and declare any personal circumstances or interests that may be perceived as inappropriately influencing the representation or interpretation of clinical research. If there is no conflict, please state "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." This should be conveyed in a separate "Conflict of Interest" statement preceding the "Acknowledgments" and "References" sections at the end of the manuscript. Any financial support for the study must be fully disclosed in the "Acknowledgments" section.
MDPI, the publisher of the Sciforum.net platform, is an open access publisher. We believe authors should retain the copyright to their scholarly works. Hence, by submitting an abstract to this conference, you retain the copyright to the work, but you grant MDPI the non-exclusive right to publish this abstract online on the Sciforum.net platform. This means you can easily submit your full paper (with the abstract) to any scientific journal at a later stage and transfer the copyright to its publisher if required.
Publication Opportunities
Participants in this conference are cordially invited to contribute a full manuscript to a Special Issue (to be updated) published in J.Imaging (ISSN: 2313-433X, IF: 3.3, CITESCORE: 6.7), with a 20% discount on the publication fee. All submitted papers will undergo MDPI’s standard peer-review procedure. The abstracts should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference report of IOCIM 2026 in Computer Sciences & Mathematics Forum (ISSN: 2813-0324); if you wish to publish an extended proceeding paper (4-8 pages), please submit it to the same journal after the conference.
Authors are asked to disclose that it is a proceeding paper of the IOCIM 2026 conference paper in their cover letter.

S2. Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
The ability to automatically extract information from images and video is a cornerstone of modern artificial intelligence. Computer vision and pattern recognition technologies are now critical components in systems for automation, healthcare, security, and interactive AI, processing data both spatially and temporally to make intelligent decisions. A key driver of recent progress is the rise of vision-language modeling, which aims to bridge visual perception with high-level semantic understanding and generation.
This session seeks to publish original contributions that demonstrate significant theoretical and practical advancements.
