New Techniques and Equipment in Large Offshore Aquaculture Platform
The far-reaching aquaculture model is an important area for the expansion of the new space of aquaculture. The emergence of new technology and equipment has promoted the rapid development of aquaculture worldwide; the innovations in techniques and equipment for large offshore aquaculture platforms drive the industry towards more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly practices. As these technologies continue to evolve, we can see the possibility of addressing many of the current challenges that the aquaculture industry faces, including space constraints, environmental degradation, and the need for increased production to meet the global demand for seafood. For scholars and professionals in marine biology, fisheries, and aquaculture, staying abreast of these advancements is crucial for contributing to developing and managing marine resources. It is an exciting time for aquaculture, and the continued research and development in these areas will undoubtedly play a key role in shaping the future of sustainable marine food production.
The webinar will present an overview of new techniques and equipment in large offshore aquaculture and progress in the following specific areas:
- Engineering and technical challenges in deep-sea aquaculture;
- Research on aquaculture vessels;
- Development and case analyses of offshore cages.
