Enhancing Adult Autism Diagnostic Pathways: The Role of Clinical Triage in Efficient Service Provision
Professor Marios Adamou, OBE, is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry (ADHD and ASD) at the South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Huddersfield and a Board Member of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB. Professor Adamou heads one of the largest neurodevelopmental services in the country, providing assessments and interventions for people with ADHD and ASD. His research focuses mainly on service provision in ADHD and ASD. His interests lie in developing evidence-based multidisciplinary approaches and interventions for the treatment of ADHD and ASD through service delivery and exploring ways for diagnosis using AI. He has achieved academic qualifications in several disciplines. He completed Master’s degrees in Mental Health Studies (MSc), Health Economics (MSc), History (MA), Medical Law (LL.M), and Business Administration (MBA). He has postgraduate certificates in Medical Education (PGCE), Risk Management (IRMCert), and Philosophy. He also completed a PhD through research. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych), Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FFOM), Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Institute of Leadership and Management (FMLM), and the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH). He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI) and of the Institute of Directors (CDir FIOD).

Fostering Syntactic Language Acquisition in Children with Autism
Andrey Vyshedskiy, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist from Boston University. He has authored over 100 scientific publications that have appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, Nature, and other leading scientific journals. His research focuses on the neurological basis of syntactic language, the evolution of syntactic language, and the development of children. He has founded multiple successful companies and directed the development of several FDA-approved medical devices. Based on his research, ImagiRation designed a therapy application for children with autism (MITA), which has been demonstrated to significantly improve their language abilities.
