On Thursday, 13 October 2022, MDPI and the Journal Mathematics organized the 6th webinar on Mathematics, entitled "Advances on Differential Games and Connections with Other Scientific Fields".

The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Professor Massimiliano Ferrara. Dr. Ferrara is a Research Affiliate at ICRIOS (Invernizzi Center for Research on Innovation, Organization, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship) at the Bocconi University and a Full Professor of Mathematical Economics at the "Mediterranea" University of Reggio Calabria in Italy. His main research interests are mathematical economics, game theory, optimization theory, dynamical systems, epidemic modeling and Covid-19, patterns of growth and sustainable development, and applied economics.

The first speaker to kick off this webinar was Dr. Giovanna Bimonte. Giovanna Bimonte is an Assistant Professor in Mathematical Methods in Economics, Finance, and Actuarial Science at the University of Salerno (Italy) since 2009. Her main research interests concern Game Theory, both cooperative and non-cooperative, applied to many problems in economics especially related to the environment. Her presentation was entitled "Dynamics Games in Convex Polygonal Environments".

The second presentation with the title "Some Applications of the Pursuit Evasion Games" was held by Dr. Bruno Antonio Pansera, a researcher in Mathematical Methods for Economics, Actuarial Science, and Finance at the University "Mediterranea" of Reggio Calabria, Italy. His current research interests concern Mathematical Economics, Optimization and Nonlinear Analysis, Game Theory, Differential Geometry, Dynamical Systems, Partial Derivative Equations, Economic Dynamics, Theory of Growth and Sustainable Development, and Economics of innovation.

The last presentation, entitled "Informational Structures and Time Structure in Extensive Games", was held by Professor Shravan Luckraz from the University of Finance and Economics in Hangzhou, China. Prof. Dr. Luckraz received his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and has since then held positions in Singapore, Australia, and China. He has served as a guest editor of the Annals of Dynamic Games in 2017-2020, is on the Board of Reviewers of Mathematical Reviews (American Mathematical Society), and has been a long-serving member of the International Society of Dynamic Games (ISDG). He also served as the Faculty Director of Research for five years at UNNC.

The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found here on Sciforum website. In order to stay updated on the next webinars on Mathematics, be sure to sign up for our newsletter by clicking on “Subscribe” at the top of the page.
