On Friday, 11 February 2022, MDPI and the Journal Metals organized the 2nd webinar on Metals, entitled "Metal Additive Manufacturing".

The introduction was held by the Chair of the webinar, Prof. Dr. Laichang Zhang. He is a Professor of Materials Engineering and the Program Leader–Mechanical Engineering in the School of Engineering at Edith Cowan University (Perth, Australia). His research interests include metal additive manufacturing, light-weight alloys, high-strength alloys.

The first speaker to quick off this webinar was Prof. Dr. Prashanth Konda Gokuldoss, with his presentation "Cellular Microstructures by Additive Manufacturing". He is presently working as the Full Professor and the Head of the Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia.

He was followed by Dr. Xipeng Tan with his presentation "Enhancing Mechanical Performance of Additively Manufactured Alloys by Microstructural Engineering". He is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The third speaker was Prof. Dr. Laichang Zhang with his presentation "Mechanical Behavior of Beta-Type Titanium Alloy Lattice Structures Fabricated by Additive Manufacturing".

The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair Prof. Dr. Laichang Zhang. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend. The full recording can be found here on Sciforum website.
