Welcome from the Chairs
The NBDC 2019 is the dewatering and drying conference organized every two years by the Nordic and Baltic countries. It has evolved from the NDC’s that were fruitfully held sequentially from 2001 to 2013 in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. It was expanded to NBDC that has been successfully held in Poland and Germany.
The main purpose of the NBDC 2019 is to provide a forum for exchange of technical and scientific knowledge on drying and dewatering between the industry, academia, research centers and consulting agencies. Another aim is to promote the best drying and dewatering experimental and industrial practices in the Nordic and Baltic nations and to disseminate them internationally.
Topics covered will be on better products, enhanced processes and technologies for a sustainable society while complying with economical growth and industrial competiveness. Focus will be given on solving challenges on product-process quality, on energy utilization, on environment or climate change, and on technology/ecology impact.

City tours
TOUR TO PETERHOF RESIDENCE AND GRAND PALACE
On 11 June 2019 we invite you for the tour to Peterhof Residence and Grand Palace that was the former tsars’ residence and is a genuine masterpiece of the world architecture.
Peterhof is a luxurious residence located along the Western side of the city on the coast of The Gulf of Finland and about 29 kilometers from St. Petersburg. This is a magic combination of green parks, colorful gardens and majestic palaces. Here in the 18th and 19th centuries a huge complex of eleven parks, dozens of buildings, and pavilions with more than 200 fountains and numerous sculptures was built in an area more than 1000 hectares.
The Grand Palace was built for Empress Elizabeth in baroque style in the center of the complex. The Grand Fountain Cascade, which is unique both technically and artistically, is a decorative pedestal for the Palace. The Grand Cascade is ornamented with numerous fountains, gilded statues, vases and crowned with the sculpture groups known as “Samson, Tearing the Lion's Jaws”, which is dedicated to the victory of Russia in the Northern War.
Duration of this tour is 7 hours including lunch. The price depends on number of people and varies from 4800 to 5300 (65-71 Euros) including lunch.
CITY SIGHTSEEING TOUR AND VISIT TO THE STATE HERMITAGE MUSEUM (THE WINTER PALACE)
On 15 June 2019 we invite you for an exciting bus tour to the historical part of Saint Petersburg and visit the Hermitage museum! The tour will give you the opportunity to admire the most famous monuments and symbols of the city, including Saint Isaac's and Kazan Cathedrals, the Peter and Paul fortress, the Strelka of Vasilyevsky Island, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, and others.
