We are pleased to introduce the Nursing Reports Reviewer Club Webinar—an exclusive quarterly event recognizing our dedicated reviewers for their outstanding contributions.
This webinar series aims to foster engagement within the reviewer community by providing valuable insights into the peer review process and promoting best practices in scholarly publishing.
Each session will cover key topics, including the following:
• Guidelines for effective and ethical peer review;
• Characteristics of a high-quality review report;
• The role of AI and template reports in the review process;
• Case studies on complex peer review scenarios.
The Nursing Reports Reviewer Club Webinar is open to all, including established reviewers, early-career researchers, and those interested in learning more about peer review. Participants will gain valuable knowledge with which to enhance their reviewing expertise and contribute to maintaining high standards in scholarly publishing.

From Critique to Contribution: The Reviewer’s Role in Strengthening Research
Dr. Luís Furtado holds a degree in Nursing, a Master’s degree in Management, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Additionally, he has a postgraduate degree in Infection Prevention and Control in Healthcare and Antimicrobial Resistance and is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing. He worked as a registered nurse specialist from 2007 to 2022, during which he also conducted clinical research. In 2022, he joined the University of the Azores as a full professor and currently serve as the Pro-Rector for the Angra do Heroísmo Campus at the University of the Azores.

Prof. Dr. Alessandro Stievano is a distinguished nursing professional. He holds a Master’s degree in Education from Rome Tre University, Italy, and a Master’s degree in Sociology for Health and Policy from the University of Bologna, Italy. He also earned a PhD in Nursing from the University of Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. Prof. Stievano is an expert in learning processes and social health policy issues. His research focuses on professional and policy issues in nursing and health professions, nursing ethics, and transcultural nursing. He has widely published on national and international levels, particularly on topics related to ethics and transcultural matters.

Crafting Insightful Reviews: A Publisher’s Framework for High-Quality Peer Review Reporting
Ms. Berezoschi Bianca Raluca holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj, Romania. She joined MDPI in 2020 and has since undertaken various roles within the editorial department. Currently serving as a Journal Relations Specialist, she focuses on cultivating strong relationships with scholars, readers, and other stakeholders, overseeing the development and strategic direction of internal and external relations for MDPI journals
