Bio
Dr. Lee Tin Sin is a researcher, professional engineer, and associate professor. He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical-Polymer), First Class Honours, and a PhD in Polymer Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr Lee has been involved in rubber processing, biopolymer, nanocomposite, and polymer synthesis, with more than 120 publications, ranging from journal papers to book chapters and conferences. He was the recipient of the Society of Chemical Engineers Japan Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer, in 2018, for his contribution to polymer research. He co-authored “Polylactic Acid” (Elsevier), whose first and second editions were published in 2012 and 2019, respectively. In 2023, he co-authored “Plastics and Sustainability,” also published by Elsevier, and, in 2024, “Microplastics Pollution and Worldwide Policies on Plastic Use”, published by CRC Press.

Sustainable Production of Nitrogen-Doped Carbon Quantum Dots for Environmental Remediation
Bio
Dr. Ng Law Yong, an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Malaysia, earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemical and Process Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan, Malaysia, in 2014. As a graduate member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia and The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, Dr. Ng has honed his expertise across various engineering disciplines. His diverse research interests span material science, carbon quantum dots, membrane technology, water research, graphene-based materials, aquaculture water treatment, and process optimization. Dr. Ng’s impactful contributions are reflected in high-impact journal publications and, as of 2023, his SCOPUS H-index, which stands at 22, with approximately 4361 citations. Notably, he is listed among Stanford University’s World Top 2% Scientists for 2022.
