Dr. Elif Kongar is a Professor of Economics and Business Analytics at the Pompea College of Business at the University of New Haven. She has extensive experience in academia, having previously served as the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research in the School of Engineering at Fairfield University from September 2021 to December 2022. Prior to that, she was a Professor of Technology Management and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bridgeport (UB), where she also chaired the Technology Management Department. Additionally, Dr. Kongar held a lecturer position at the Yale School of Management. At the University of Bridgeport, Dr. Kongar was instrumental in the creation of several research programs, graduate concentrations, and interdisciplinary coursework in fields such as predictive analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, supply chain management, simulation and modeling, sustainability, and service management and engineering. She was also the Founding Director of UB's Ph.D. Program in Technology Management, a pioneering program in the Northeastern United States and one of the few in the country. Dr. Kongar’s research interests are broad, focusing on economically and environmentally sustainable waste recovery systems, disassembly sequencing and planning, electronic waste, performance evaluation, big data analytics, quality improvement, engineering education, female participation in engineering, and K-12 STEM education.

Dr. Ahmet Ozkul is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Business Analytics at the University of New Haven, Connecticut. He holds a doctorate degree in operations management from Clemson University. Dr. Ozkul teaches courses in operations, information systems, and business analytics. His current research interests include coordination in the supply chain, improving service quality and business analytics applications. His work has been published in operations, information systems, business analytics and educational technology journals. Dr. Ozkul played a key role in establishing BS and MS in Business Analytics programs at the University of New Haven, developing and teaching program courses, including business analytics intro, database management for analytics, data mining and capstone course.

Dr. Mehmet Balcilar is an applied macroeconomist specializing in financial economics, energy economics, and applied econometrics. His research focuses on forecasting, real estate economics, energy economics, risk management, and monetary economics. Previously a professor at Eastern Mediterranean University, where he chaired the Economics Department (2011-2023), he has also held positions at the University of Pretoria, IPAG Business School, and Montpellier Business School. Dr. Balcilar served as an advisor to Turkey's Disaster Management Authority (2012-2016), contributing to refugee assistance and disaster response initiatives. He has consulted for the World Bank, WHO, and other international organizations and is currently a research fellow at the Economic Research Forum in Cairo.

Dr. Gazi Murat Duman received his Ph.D. degree in Technology Management from the University of Bridgeport. Dr. Duman combines his extensive industry experience in supply chain management and logistics operations with his interdisciplinary research, creating solutions for current and emerging issues. Dr. Duman is currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Economics & Business Analytics. Prior to his affiliation with the University of New Haven, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Mercy College and at the University of Bridgeport. His primary research interests are decision making under uncertainty, sustainable supply chains, data analytics, machine learning, applied artificial intelligence, fuzzy and gray systems, and operations research.
