On Thursday 9th February 2023 , MDPI and the Journal Topics organized the 7th Webinar on Topics entitled “ EO&GEO Series: Drones in Geographical Applications”. This online seminar was chaired by Dr. George P. Petropoulos from the Department of Geography, Harokopio University of Athens, Greece. He was joined by three leading experts in Drone research and a drone sales specialist focused in Software development, Cyber Security, Penetration testing, Computer Assisted Military exercises, Modelling and Simulation.

The speakers presented on a variety of topics within different fields of drone technology. This included unmanned aerial systems for ecological monitoring, Role of UAV in Precision Agriculture, Mapping Landslide Features from High-Resolution Drone Imagery and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for search and rescue and defence. The presentations were followed by a Q&A and a discussion, moderated by the Chair. The webinar was offered via Zoom and required registration to attend.
