Expression of Interest (EoI) to Host an Edition of the International Conference on Materials (ICM) - Asia Pacific
The ICM Asia Pacific Conference Selection Committee seeks Expressions of Interest (EoI) from universities/institutions/individual scholars to host the next edition of the ICM Asia Pacific Conference Series. The first edition will be held in Singapore.
What is ICM?
The International Conference on Materials (ICM) is a scientific conference series dedicated to bringing together scientists and leaders from different areas to discuss important recent developments in material science.
So far, five International Conference on Materials (ICM) have been held:
1st International Electronic Conference on Materials
2nd International Electronic Conference on Materials
3rd International Electronic Conference on Materials
2021 International Conference on Materials: Advanced and Emerging Materials (online)
4th International Conference on Materials: Advanced and Emerging Materials in Barcelona, Spain
ICM Asia Pacific Series will be a brand-new departure, focusing on the Asia Pacific region’s universities/institutions/individual scholars. We are committed to providing a platform for more scholars in the Asia Pacific region to exchange ideas. If you are interested in hosting the first edition of ICM-Asia Pacific in Singapore, please fill in the EOI Application Form and send it to us at icmap2023@mdpi.com. Please note that the follow-on editions will not be restrained to the topics discussed in previous editions and, therefore, new and different topics within the material field are sought.
Facts
Candidate institutions must have the ability to host and organize at least a three-day conference with 150–200 participants.
Candidate institutions and MDPI must invited Chairs, Session Chairs, Speakers, Committee members.
Candidate chairs must determine scientific content, define topics/sessions and programs, and lead the editorial process.
When necessary, and based on the input provided by the local host, MDPI staff will provide administrative support and help to manage the conference website on Sciforum. MDPI staff will also help to edit the abstracts and prepare the conference book, help to design the logos and banners for the conference website, flyers, posters, roll-ups, lanyards, conference bags, etc. following the style of previous I3S edition.
MDPI will further help by promoting the conference edition on all relevant MDPI journals and any other relevant communication channels.
Expression of Interest Instructions
EoI must be submitted by 15 February 2023. Please direct these EoIs and any inquiries to the Selection Committee.
The length of the application should not exceed two A4 pages and should include:
Name(s) of the bidder(s), contact details and a short biography;
Proposed dates for the conference;
Proposed topics for the conference;
The proposed location for the conference with a brief paragraph describing the local amenities that would be available to participants, including its proximity to a reasonably well-served airport.
