Synthesis, Characterization and Photocatalytic Activity of Porphyrin–Polyoxometalate Hybrid Material

Abstract: In the present work, the preparation of an organic-inorganic hybrid material in which tetrakis phenylporphyrin is immobilized on the surface of polyoxometalate (H3PMo12O40) is reported. This porphyrin-polyoxometalate hybrid material was characterized by FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods. The photocatalytic activity of this hybrid material was investigated in the photodegradation of methylene blue.
