C: Functional Materials and Interfaces for Biomedical Applications

This section is chaired by:
Dr. Marinella G. Sandros, Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering, University of North Carolina at Greensboro, USA
Dr. Benjamin Thierry, Ian Wark Research Institute, ARC Special Research Centre, University of South Australia, Australia

Incremental improvements of current technologies in the field of materials and biointerfaces for medical applications are insufficient for addressing the important issues of biocompatibility, efficiency, and costs. Authors developing new biomaterials and biointerfaces, and who focus on these materials’ and interfaces’ design, elaboration, and most importantly, their integration in the health system, are invited to submit their papers for this important topic.
