It is our pleasure to invite you to join the 1st International Online Conference on Sensor and Actuator Networks, which will be hosted online from 9 to 10 July 2026.
This conference will present the latest studies in sensor and actuator network-related research in the fields of healthcare, smart agriculture, industry, mobile systems, intelligent transportation, manufacturing, smart cities, and engineering. The goal is to highlight the status, challenges, and opportunities as well as future trends in sensor and actuator network engineering. CSAN 2026 will present the state-of-the-art sensor and actuator networks related to the following topics:

CSAN 2026 will enable you to share and discuss your most recent research findings with the worldwide vibrant community of scientists and engineers in the field.
CSAN 2026 will make your presentation accessible to hundreds of researchers worldwide, with the active engagement of the audience in question-and-answer sessions and discussion groups that will take place online.
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee. All accepted abstracts will be available online in Open Access form on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Following the conference, selected contributions will be invited for submission to the JSAN journal (ISSN: 2224-2708, Impact Factor: 4.2), with a 15% discount on the publication fee.

Prof Adnan M. Abu-Mahfouz (Senior Member, IEEE) received the M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees in computer engineering from the University of Pretoria, Pretoria, South Africa, in 2005 and 2011, respectively. He is currently a Chief Researcher and the Centre Manager of the Emerging Digital Technologies for 4IR (EDT4IR) Research Centre, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research; an Extraordinary Professor with University of Pretoria; and Visiting Professor at University of Johannesburg; South Africa. His research interests are wireless sensor and actuator network, low power wide area networks, software-defined wireless sensor network, cognitive radio, network security, network management, and sensor/actuator node development. Prof Abu-Mahfouz is a Section Editor-in-Chief with the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks.

Pascal Lorenz (lorenz@ieee.org) received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy, France. Between 1990 and 1995 he was a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and at Alcatel-Alsthom. He is a professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. His research interests include QoS, wireless networks and high-speed networks. He is the author/co-author of 3 books, 3 patents and 200 international publications in referred journals and conferences. Prof. Jordi Mongay Batalla

Jordi Mongay Batalla (PhD, DSc) is a Professor at Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Telecommunications and Cybersecurity, with 25+ years of expertise in mobile networks, Internet applications and cybersecurity. He is also with the University of Nicosia (Cyprus) as an Adjunct Faculty Member (remotely). Jordi Mongay is/has been an adviser in different inter/national institutions. He is a 5G expert in NATO STO and has been an expert of the Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej from 2021 to 2023. Prof. Mongay Batalla was contracted by ENISA (EU Cybersecurity Agency) as an external expert of 5G and IoT cybersecurity through CEI from 2019 to 2023. He still advises ENISA for the EU certification scheme. He contributes to standards: O-RAN Alliance Security Working Group, CEN/CLC/JTC 13/WG 9 for the Resilience Act. J. Mongay is the editor of four books and the author of more than 200 papers. He is a (guest) editor and member of the Editorial Board of more than 10 international journals.
Prof. Sye-Loong Keoh

Sye-Loong Keoh is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing Science, University of Glasgow (UofG, Singapore campus). He is currently the Director of Research Programmes in UofG Singapore. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing from Imperial College London. Prior to joining Glasgow, he was a Senior Scientist at Philips Research Eindhoven, The Netherlands (Philips Lighting is now known as Signify). His areas of expertise include cyber security for Internet of Things (IoT), lightweight security systems for cyber-physical systems, and policy-based security management for pervasive and distributed systems. He leads the cyber-security research activities in UofG Singapore where he has designed several lightweight authentication protocols and key management schemes for IoT, building management and industrial control systems. More recently, he is researching on new techniques for securing end-to-end communication and ensuring data provenance in IoT environment. While working at Philips Research, he was responsible for standardizing Marlin Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology for content protection, and lightweight security protocols for Philips’s IoT-based lighting systems.
Prof. Jianwei Niu

Jianwei Niu is a professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Beihang University. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Beihang University in 2002 and was selected for the Ministry of Education's 2009 "New Century Excellent Talents Support Program." From January 2010 to February 2011, he was a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He is a National Excellent Science and Technology Teacher and Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program and the National Innovation Platform for Industry–Education Integration on Industrial Internet. He has led more than 50 national and enterprise projects, including key programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Key R&D projects on industrial robotic operating systems and secure real-time embedded intelligent systems, and has received major honors such as the Ministry of Education Technology Invention Award (First Prize), the National Defense Science and Technology Progress Award (First Prize), and the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Award. He has published over 300 papers (including 30+ CCF A papers), authored 2 books, filed over 80 patents, and his work has been cited more than 18,000 times (Google Scholar, H-index 65).

Robert Janowski obtained M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) in 1998 and 2008, respectively. Since 2003 to 2008 he has been associated with WUT, Institute of Telecommunications and Cybersecurity, as a researcher involved in R&D projects. During the years 2008-2016 he worked as a specialist for mobile network operator company. From 2009 to 2025 he worked for Warsaw School of Computer Science. In 2024 he joint WUT, Institute of Telecommunications and Cybersecurity as a researcher and lecturer. His research interests mainly focus on modelling and analysis of IP networks, performance and security evaluation of 5G mobile networks, exploitation of O-RAN architecture, applications of SDR cards.

Stefano Dugheri (ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3078-7188) is Associate Professor of Occupational Medicine at Link Campus University (Rome, Italy). His work, teaching, and research activities are part of the industrial fabric with the aim of identifying and preventing risks related to production activities and ensuring a service for monitoring and assessing occupational exposure. His scientific research and teaching activities, as well as related activities in the field of occupational medicine and preventive medicine in the workplace, are relevant to occupational hygiene, epidemiology, toxicology, and ergonomics. He has many years of experience in assessing occupational exposure to volatile organic compounds and metals of interest to human health and environmental hygiene, with reference to scenarios such as petrochemical plants and chemical industries. Author of over 180 scientific publications and guest speaker at more than 30 international and national conferences, he has taken part in numerous research projects.

Piotr Korbel received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electronics engineering from Lodz University of Technology, Poland, in 1999 and 2007 respectively. He is currently with the Telecommunications Division of the Institute of Electronics at Lodz University of Technology. He serves as a university representative in the activities of the Polish Committee for Standardization, TC11. His research and academic interests cover several key areas in the field of radiocommunications, radio wave propagation, digital signal processing, and location-based services. He has contributed to more than ten industrial and R&D projects, including development of a 5G testbed at the university campus within the Digital Innovation Hub programme.

Instructions for Authors
The 1st International Online Conference on Sensor and Actuator Networks (CSAN2026) will accept abstracts only.
1. Deadline for abstract submission: 9 March 2026.
2. Abstract Acceptance Notification: 9 April 2026.
You will be notified of the acceptance of an oral/poster presentation in a separate email.
1. The structure abstract should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections (Totally 800-900 words).
3. You may submit multiple abstracts. However, only one abstract will be selected for oral presentation.
4. Abstracts submitted to this conference must be original and novel, without prior publication in any journals, or else it will not be accepted to this conference.
The slot for the oral presentation is around 15 mins. We advise that your presentation lasts for a maximum of 12 mins, leaving at least 3 mins for the Q&A session.
To recognize the research contributions of participants, we are very pleased to announce that all participants have the opportunity to upload and display their research in the form of a video on the conference website. (around 5 minutes)
