The 1st International Online Conference on Photonics, centered around the theme of optics and photonics, is scheduled to take place from October 14–16, 2024. This conference aims to highlight and facilitate the utilization of recent advancements in all areas related to optics and photonics, as well as to address complex issues, exchange the latest scientific breakthroughs, and guide the development of future technologies and processes in these fields.
This conference is an excellent opportunity for Optics and Photonics researchers and scientists to interact with each other, communicate with colleagues, learn from each other, share ideas and experiences, jointly solve problems, and suggest alternative solutions for a better future in the Optics and Photonics industry. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee. All accepted abstracts will be available online in Open Access form on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Participants have the chance to win four highly coveted Best Oral Presentation Awards and Best Poster Presentation Awards, with prize money.

Valeria Demontis is an experimental physicist specializing in optoelectronic transport studies in low-dimensional semiconductors, including two-dimensional single-crystal perovskites and III−V semiconductor nanowires, both in classical and quantum regimes. With six years of research experience at the Nanoscience Laboratory of Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa (Italy), she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at the University of Cagliari (Italy).
Dr. Ofelia Durante

Dr. Ofelia Durante is currently a researcher in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at the Physics Department of the University of Salerno (Italy). Actually, she deals with the study of electrical transport phenomena in devices with low-dimensional material, such as nanotubes, nanowires, and 2D transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), graphene, and black phosphorus. Moreover, she is an expert in Atomic Force Microscopy-AFM, Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction for the study of morphological and structural properties of dielectric materials coating prototype of mirror for gravitational waves detector. To date, she is author or co-author of more than 90 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, has more than 11000 citations, and h-index 37
