Welcome from
the chair
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the 1st International Online Conference on Tomography (IOCTG2026) which will be hosted online from 10 to 11 September 2026. In the recent years Tomography has shown an astonishing increase in the number and quality of papers and in the number of Editorial Board Members.

This conference will present the latest studies in advanced imaging research. IOCTG2026 will present the state of advanced imaging research related to the following topics:

Session A: Neuroradiology advancements in the recent scientific literature with particular emphasis on functional imaging, perfusion, spectroscopy, and AI
Session B: Gastro abdominal radiology: the importance of diagnostic confidence with the specific aim to underline technological improvements in CT and MR imaging of the abdomen
Session C: Thoracic Radiology: development in functional and morphologic imaging of the lung and pleura
Session D: Cardiac Imaging: the fusion of morphology, function and T1 and T2 mapping as additional value for the final diagnosis
Session E: AI: the relevant topics in the recent literature with a particular emphasis on radiomics and generative AI

I am convinced that this congress, organized in the online format, will meet your expectations both in terms of organization and scientific content.

IOCTG2026 will enable you to share and discuss your most recent research findings with the global vibrant community of scientists in the field. IOCTG2026 will make your presentation accessible to hundreds of researchers worldwide, with the active engagement of the audience in question-and-answer sessions as well as discussion groups that will take place online. We hope you will join us, present your work at IOCTG2026, and be part of this exciting online event.
