Welcome from the Chairs
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the International Conference on Veterinary Sciences 2027, to be held in May 2027 in Hangzhou, China.
Under the theme “Integrating Veterinary Science and One Health for Global Wellbeing, ”this conference aims to bring together leading scientists, clinicians, industry experts, and policymakers from around the world. Our goal is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration at the interface of veterinary science, translational research, and global health.
The scientific program has been carefully designed to reflect both emerging frontiers and real-world challenges in veterinary sciences, and will cover the following key sessions:
• Microbial Frontiers, Immunology, and Transformative Vaccinology
• Precision Veterinary Medicine and Digital Clinical Transformation
• Infectious Diseases, Biosecurity, and One Health Leadership
• Veterinary Industry Innovation and Global Translational Pathways
• Veterinary Public Health, Food Systems, and Global Food Safety
These sessions will highlight cutting-edge advances in areas such as genomic surveillance, systems immunology, AI-assisted diagnostics, antimicrobial resistance, translational vaccinology, and sustainable animal production systems. Importantly, the conference will emphasize the integration of science, industry, and governance to address complex global challenges under the One Health framework.

Professor Patrick Butaye is STEM-professor at City University’s Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences. Patrick graduated with a degree of Veterinary Medicine from Ghent University in 1994. In 2000, he obtained his PhD from the same university. Following this, he worked as Senior researcher and head of division at the former Veterinary and Agrochemical Research institute in Brussel until 2015. In 2006, he became Adjunct Professor at Ghent University and still holds that position. In 2015, he started a Professorship at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, whereafter in 2023, he started at City University of Hong Kong. He is also senior research fellow at the One Health Research Foundation, Miramar Florida. Patrick is or has been member of several national and international advisory committees and expert panels and has been ad hoc expert on a multitude of occasions. These include the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), World Health Organization (Who), Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO), Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), Belgian Food safety authority (FAVV). He is member of the Executive board of the European Study Group on Veterinary Microbiology (ESGVM), as part of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID). He has been member of several project review panels worldwide. Patrick is Editor in Chief of the journal Veterinary Sciences (MDPI), member of the Editorial Board of BMC Veterinary Research and Editor for PlosOne and Associate Editor for Frontiers in Antimicrobials, Resistance and Chemotherapy as well as Guest Editor for Frontiers in Veterinary Science.
College of Veterinary Medicine, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China
Prof. Dr. Wentao Li is a Professor at the College of Animal Science and Technology and the College of Veterinary Medicine at Huazhong Agricultural University, China. He currently serves as the Director of the Animal Disease Diagnostic Center. His research focuses on the diagnosis, pathogenesis, and control of major animal infectious diseases, particularly African swine fever and animal coronaviruses. Prof. Li’s work also encompasses the identification and characterization of emerging viruses in pigs, dogs, and cats, as well as investigations into viral invasion mechanisms and host–pathogen interactions. In addition, his research extends to the discovery of disease-resistant genes for breeding purposes and the development of antiviral strategies, including therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and small-molecule drugs. He has led and participated in several major research initiatives, including national-level funding programs and projects on disease surveillance, early warning systems, and antiviral breeding strategies. Prof. Li holds a Ph.D. in Preventive Veterinary Medicine from Huazhong Agricultural University and a Ph.D. from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He is a doctoral supervisor and an active member of key national research platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Agricultural Microbiology. Prof. Li has received multiple honors, including recognition as a national high-level talent and a Global Highly Cited Researcher (2022), reflecting his significant contributions to veterinary science and infectious disease research.

Instructions for Authors
The abstract should be submitted in English only and the word limits are 200-300 words. The structure abstract should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections.
All abstracts accepted for presentation will be collected in a book of abstracts, which will be displayed on the website during the conference.
Abstract Acceptance Notification: 5 March 2027
Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, at least one registration by any of the authors, denoted as Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted abstract. Covering Author registration deadline is 18 March 2027. Your abstract will be withdrawn if your registration is not complete by this date.
Authors are encouraged to prepare their presentations using PowerPoint or similar software. Please note that all presentations must be delivered in English. A link for slide upload will be provided prior to the conference.
Each presenter will be provided with a vertical poster board. The poster size is 84.1cm x 118.9cm (A0 - portrait). Please print your poster prior to the conference. A plan of the poster session will be circulated later on. You can use our free template to create your poster. The poster template can be downloaded HERE.

Regarding the Fapiao required by Chinese scholars
After successful payment, starting from 4 June 2027, please visit https://publink.cnpereading.com/ to log in to the payment system using the mobile number provided during payment. Navigate to "Fapiao Management" → "Issue Fapiao", and enter your tax identification number to submit your Fapiao request. If you have any questions, please contact the conference team after completing the payment.
Please note: Due to financial settlement procedures, Fapiao issuance will be suspended during the last 3–4 business days of each month. Requests submitted at the end of the month will be processed uniformly in early the following month. Please log in to the system at that time to download your Fapiao.

Photographs and/or video will be taken during the conference

Publication Opportunities
1. Veterinary Science Journal Publication
Participants of IVSC 2027 are cordially invited to contribute a full manuscript to the conference's Special Issue (to be updated later), published in the Veterinary Science (ISSN 2306-7381, IF 2.3, Citescore 3.5) with a 20% discount on the Article Processing Charges (APC) fee.
Publication Notice: All submitted papers will undergo MDPI’s standard peer-review procedure. The abstracts should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper.
Authors of accepted abstracts are highly encouraged to submit an extended proceedings paper (4–8 pages) for the conference's dedicated proceedings volume in the Biology and Life Sciences Forum (ISSN 2673-9976) journal . Publication of the proceedings will be free of charge.
Publication Notice: Proceedings papers will undergo peer-review procedure. Acceptance at the conference does not ensure final publication.

Eligibility: Open to all authors who have given an oral presentation.
Criteria: Based on the quality of content, delivery, engagement with the audience, and overall impact.
