Abstract: 1,2,4,5-Benzenetetracarboxylic acid (H4btec) with transition metal ions Co(II) and Ni (II), give two coordination complexes, C10H16CoO14 (I) and C10H18Na2NiO16 (II). These complexes have been synthesized by a fast and efficient method under microwave irradiation. These compounds have been characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
