This conference will present the latest studies in process/system-related research in chemistry, biology, material, energy, environment, food and engineering fields. The goal is to show the current state, challenges, and opportunities and future trends in process systems engineering.

All processes/system-related scientists or researchers are welcome to join this event and share their findings around the following general and related themes, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Green chemistry engineering and environment-relevant processes;
  • Experimental, theoretical, and computational research on process development and engineering;
  • Process modeling, simulation, optimization, and control;
  • Food-relevant processing and improvement of food quality;
  • Sustainable and renewable systems engineering;
  • Energy system and current demand and electricity market;
  • Supply chain management;
  • Circular economies;
  • Eco-friendly processes and methods.

Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee. All accepted abstracts will be available online in Open Access form on Sciforum.net during and after the conference. Following the conference, selected contributions will be invited for submission to the Processes journal (ISSN: 2227-9717, Impact Factor: 3.5), with a 20% discount on the publication fee.

Introduction
Bio
He is currently Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Turin and Vice-Director of the Department od Drug Science and Technology. His research activity is documented by about 500 scientific peer-reviewed papers, 21 patents and several books as editor and chapters' author (H. Index 60, 16,100 citations by Scopus; H. Index 70, 20,770 citations by Google Scholar). His main research interests are the development of green and sustainable synthetic and extraction procedures. These studies have paved the road to innovative protocols for chemical process intensification, exploiting non conventional techniques such as high-intensity ultrasound, hydrodynamic cavitation, microwaves, flow chemistry and ball milling. His research group developed a number of hybrid chemical reactors combining different energy sources. He collaborates with several industrial partners in the field of fine chemicals, plant extraction, petrochemicals, pharmaceutics, textiles, food processing and cosmetics. He is the past President of the European Society of Sonochemistry, Editor-in-Chief of Procesess (MDPI), Editor or Editorial Board member of several international journals - Ultrasonics Sonochemistry, Green Processing and Synthesis, Molecules, Magnetochemistry, International Journal of Green Technology, Heliyon etc..
