Welcome from the Chairs

We are pleased to announce the 5th International Electronic Conference on Applied Sciences. This international conference is sponsored by MDPI OA journal Applied Sciences (ISSN: 2076-3417), will bring together scientists from different areas to discuss important recent developments in a number of fields. It represents an opportunity to gather an interdisciplinary community to discuss applied sciences. More specifically, after the success of the first four editions, this year’s edition will focus on eight thematic areas of applied nature sciences:

  1. Applied Biosciences and Bioengineering
  2. Nanosciences, Chemistry and Materials Science
  3. Computing and Artificial Intelligence
  4. Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering
  5. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
  6. Energy, Environmental and Earth Science
  7. Food Science and Technology
  8. Applied Physical Science

We expect that participants of this conference will exchange novel provocative ideas by presenting short oral presentations on research and development discoveries. Posters can be presented without an accompanying proceedings paper and will be available on this website during and after the e-conference.

Specifically, you do not need to seek financial support for travel, purchase air tickets, leave your house, office, and family, make a hotel room reservation, take a trip, or adjust to the time zone where the conference takes place during the entire conference period.

Under the virtual conference settings, there are additional advantages: (1) engagement tools that keep energy levels high, (2) participants are given a voice, (3) far stronger attention is received while one is talking, (4) Q&A through “Chat” is also possible if you do not wish to raise your question verbally, (5) polls, (6) feedback through Chat, (7) use of symbols under the “Reactions” function to show your voice, appreciation, or request, (8) greater reach with a remote audience, and (9) the ability to deliver live and pre-recorded presentations simultaneously.

Please find the best oral award and best poster award by clicking the following link:
https://sciforum.net/event/ASEC2024?section=#awards

Extended and expanded versions of the conference proceedings papers can be submitted to a Special Issue in the journal Applied Sciences after the conference, with a 20% discount on the article processing charges.

Applied Sciences is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal on all aspects of applied natural sciences. It is published semimonthly online by MDPI.

We hope the community will share our enthusiasm and help to make this 5th edition a success, and that there will be many more conferences in the future.

Registration

The registration for ASEC2024 will be free of charge! The registration includes attendance to all conference sessions.

If you are registering several people under the same registration, please do not use the same email address for each person, but their individual university email addresses. Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that the submission and registration are two separate parts. Only scholars who registered can receive a link to access the conference live streaming. The deadline for registration is 27th November 2024 .

Instructions for Authors

Procedure for Submission

ASEC2024 will accept abstracts only. All abstracts accepted for presentation will be collected in a book of abstracts, which will be published on Sciforum.net during and after the conference.

Important Deadlines
Deadline for abstract submission: 6th August 2024.
Announcement of oral and poster abstract results: 4th October 2024. You will be notified of the acceptance of an oral/poster presentation in a separate email.

Certificates of Participation are available in your logged-in area of Sciforum.net, under “My certificates” after the conference.

Abstract Submission
Abstract submissions should be completed online by registering with www.sciforum.net and using the "New Submission" function once logged into the system. No physical template is necessary. The abstract structure should include the introduction, methods, results, and conclusions sections of about 200–300 words in length.

1. All accepted abstracts will be published as one dedicated volume in Proceedings journal (ISSN: 2504-3900) after quality check. If you wish to publish a full-length proceedings paper, please refer to the “Publication Opportunities” Section.
2. All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear, publication-ready English with accurate grammar and spelling.
3. You may submit multiple abstracts. However, only one abstract will be selected for oral presentation.

Detailed Requirements:
1. Please note that the submitting author will receive all correspondence relating to the abstract. Thus, the submitting author must be the presenting author.
2. The presenting author must ensure that all co-authors are aware of the contents of the abstract.
3. The presenting author must be listed as the first author for this conference.

Note: We only accept live presentations.

Oral Presentation and Slides Submission
The slot for the oral presentation is 15 mins. We advise that your presentation lasts for a maximum of 12 mins, leaving at least 3 mins for the Q&A session.

Authors are encouraged to prepare a presentation in PowerPoint or similar software, to be displayed online along with the abstract. Slides, if available, will be displayed directly on the website using the proprietary slide viewer at Sciforum.net. Slides can be prepared in exactly the same way as for any traditional conference where research results are presented. Slides should be converted to PDF format prior to submission so that they can be converted for online display.
